Job title: Rental Intern
About the Role The Rental Intern will join CFAO South Africa's transport and operations team to gain practical experience in day-to-day transport planning and customer service within the mobility sector. This internship offers exposure to applying academic studies in a real-world environment and an opportunity to showcase work experience for potential future employers.
What You'll Do
- Plan daily transport trips (deliveries and collections).
- Update and reconcile the MRR machine return register daily.
- Liaise status of deliveries and collections to internal and external customers.
- File and perform other admin duties; update transport planning boards daily.
- Perform other duties as may be required for efficient operation of the transport department.
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others; handle complaints and disputes or grievances.
- Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards; use judgement to assess laws/regulations/standards.
- Make decisions and solve problems by analysing information to determine best solutions.
- Contribute to development and team-building; foster mutual trust, respect and cooperation.
- Interact with the public; attend to customer needs and address clients or guests.
- Update and apply relevant knowledge; stay up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of Labour Relations Act (LRA); Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA); Employment Equity Act (EEA); Skills Development Act (SDA); OSHACT and POPI.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – approachable and able to build effective relationships with line managers and employees at all levels.
