About the Role
Art of Problem Solving is seeking an Upper-Level Math Instructor to join their virtual campus team. This is a part-time role on the AoPS Academy Virtual Campus, which offers after-school and weekend enrichment for middle and high school students. Year-round courses run in the late afternoons/evenings (4pm–10pm ET Mon–Fri, 10am–9pm ET Sun); summer camps run Mon–Fri between June and August for 1, 2, or 4 weeks at 1.5 or 3 hours per day.
What You'll Do

Teach enthusiastic middle and high school students in our online classrooms.

Use our curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes that focus on instruction and developing skills, not on rote memorization.

Work in small classes (average size 12) with top performing students who are passionate about learning and are motivated to succeed.

Teach in a live virtual classroom environment using software such as Zoom.

What We're Looking For

Experience competing in or teaching/tutoring students for middle and high school math contests such as AMC, AIME, MATHCOUNTS, USA(J)MO, IMO.

Prefer student-led instruction, discussions, and allowing students to do the heavy lifting.

Foster an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem solving.

Comfortable teaching in a live virtual classroom environment using Zoom.

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required.

Master's degree or higher in a STEM field is preferred.

Must have some experience teaching or tutoring students at the middle to high school level.

Strongly preferred: Experience with middle and high school math contests.
