About this role

BetterPros

What will I do in a remote AutoCAD role?

You’ll support U.S.-based clients by producing accurate 2D technical drawings, construction documents, and design layouts. You’ll work from existing designs or redlines, helping project teams communicate their ideas clearly and effectively.

We’ll match you with a client whose work style aligns with yours. Some professionals prefer fixed hours, like 8 to 5, while others value more flexibility. Either way, the client sets the expectations, and we connect you with a company that fits your preferred way of working, all from the comfort of your own home.

What skills are important for remote AutoCAD roles?

AutoCAD proficiency: Experience with 2D drafting, layering, annotations, and layout setups. Technical drawing knowledge: Ability to understand and execute construction standards and conventions. Attention to detail: Precision in dimensioning, scaling, and following redline edits. Organization: Managing file structures and drawing sets efficiently. Remote communication: Collaborating with engineers, architects, and PMs from a distance.

Do I need a degree or certification to apply?

A technical degree or an AutoCAD certification is a plus, but not required. We focus on your ability to draft accurately, follow standards, and deliver quality documentation.

What tasks will I handle as a remote AutoCAD specialist?

Producing 2D drawings for construction and design documentation. Interpreting redlines and existing design concepts. Organizing layout sheets, views, and title blocks. Collaborating with architects, engineers, or drafters remotely. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. documentation standards.
