About the Role Relief Veterinarian for the Humane Society of Sarasota County, contracted as an independent, as-needed position. You’ll support shelter medicine operations with a focus on high-quality surgical care for homeless animals. This role offers meaningful, real-time impact on animal welfare and requires availability on an as-needed basis. What You'll Do
- Performing surgery
- Examining patients
- Prescribing medications
- Collaborating with shelter staff and maintaining EMR records What We're Looking For
- DVM and active Florida veterinary license required
- Experience in shelter medicine and high-volume spay/neuter surgery preferred
- Strong surgical and clinical skills
- EMR experience Nice to Have
- Shelter medicine experience and high-volume spay/neuter surgery (preferred) Compensation & Benefits
- $800 daily rate
- Relief / Independent Contractor | As-Needed Schedule
