Job Summary
- We are seeking a Relationship Officer – Personal & Retail Banking to drive customer acquisition, relationship management, deposit mobilization, and revenue growth within the retail banking segment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, managing existing relationships, promoting banking products, and ensuring excellent customer experience while achieving assigned business targets.
Key Responsibilities

Acquire new retail and personal banking customers through direct sales, referrals, networking, and business development activities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Promote and sell retail banking products, including savings and current accounts, personal loans, credit cards, digital banking solutions, investments, insurance, and other financial products.

Drive deposit mobilization and maintain a healthy customer portfolio.

Identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and solutions.

Achieve assigned targets for customer acquisition, deposits, loans, transactions, and revenue generation.

Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective customers and consistently follow up on leads.

Conduct market visits and engage individuals, professionals, SMEs, corporate employees, and other target customer segments.

Cross-sell and upsell relevant banking products to existing customers.

Monitor customer accounts and identify opportunities for increased wallet share.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements.

Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate complex matters when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline development.

Collaborate with branch teams and other business units to deliver excellent customer service.

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer acquisition, portfolio growth, and business development activities.

Stay informed about banking products, market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, or any related field.

2–5 years of experience in retail banking, personal banking, relationship management, sales, or business development.

Proven track record of achieving sales and business development targets.

Strong knowledge of retail banking products and services.

Excellent customer acquisition and relationship management skills.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to generate leads through networking and proactive business development.

Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Good knowledge of KYC and basic banking compliance requirements.

N135,000 - N150,000 / month.
