Relationship Officer - Microfinance

Our client, a credit-only microfinance company offering business loans and payroll advances, seeks an experienced, results-oriented Relationship Officer to grow its customer portfolio, develop business partnerships and drive quality loan uptake.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and convert new customers to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Develop strategic partnerships and business-to-business relationships.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Present loan products to prospective customers and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Follow up on loan repayments within the assigned portfolio.
- Assess customer suitability in line with the company’s credit policies.
- Gather market feedback and coordinate with internal teams to improve customer service and sales.
Requirements

Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communication or a related field.

At least 3 years’ sales experience, preferably in microfinance or financial services.

Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage customer relationships.

Good understanding of credit risk and loan repayment management.

Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, professional and committed to ethical conduct and confidentiality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media.
