About the Role The Reinsurance Operations role focuses on end-to-end reinsurance treaty and accounting processes, including accruals, billing, settlements, and reporting. You will ensure accuracy, control adherence (SOX), and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end reinsurance administration (assumed, ceded, retro) including accruals, billing, settlements, and reporting.
- Prepare GRDR load forms, Kyriba wires, and monitor reinsurer cash flows and receivables.
- Drive analytics on premiums and claims, ensuring SOX compliance and supporting month-end close.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries and improve efficiency, accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Verify and cross-check policy documents and requests for completeness and internal controls.
- Conduct research across multiple systems to verify reinsurance information and treaty history; escalate as needed.
- Draft professional correspondence requesting additional information or supporting documents.
- Monitor BAU against service level timelines with attention to detail and quality.
- Identify and report process gaps, risks, or discrepancies to stakeholders; support continuous improvement and OKRs.
- Update SOPs and document changes; support manager with research queries.
- Understand New Frontier strategy and work according to set OKRs.
- Focus on automation, AI tools, and process improvements; maintain proficient use of Excel and PeopleSoft. What We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in reinsurance administration (assumed & ceded & retro), including accruals, billing, settlements, and reporting.
- Knowledge of various treaty types (ALICO, DELAM, PRT, CAT, INRECO, EXPAT).
- Experience with automation bots and AI tools to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proficiency in GRDR load forms and PeopleSoft accounting.
- Ability to manage reinsurer cash flows, receivables, and settlement processes; advanced analytical skills for premiums, claims, commissions, tax, etc.
- Solid understanding of SOX controls, governance, and audit frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration; excellent query resolution and operational issue management.
- Excellent communication skills in English; well-organized and able to work in a production/metrics-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, multitasking; customer service mindset; adaptable to change.
