Job title: Regulatory Compliance / Product Stewardship Specialist
About the Role ExxonMobil seeks a Regulatory Compliance and Product Stewardship specialist to support risk reviews for new and existing products and applications, ensuring timely action items are addressed. The role serves as an internal regulatory expert, advising stakeholders and communicating product composition, properties, usage hazards, risk management measures, and compliance status. The position is based in Bangalore, with opportunities to collaborate across business units and travel domestically and internationally.
What You'll Do
- Support Product Stewardship Risk Reviews for new and existing products and applications, ensuring timely completion of action items.
- Act as an internal regulatory compliance expert and provide advice as and when necessary.
- Communicates product composition, properties, usage hazards, risk management measures, and regulatory compliance status to internal stakeholders.
- Independently partners with internal business stakeholders to set priorities and act with urgency to address their requirements.
- Introduces fresh perspectives on business engagement and demonstrates a willingness to challenge the status quo.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, chemical engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with REACH, TSCA, and Asia Pacific chemical management regulations in various world areas.
- Previous product stewardship or regulatory compliance experience.
- Good command of English language (written and spoken) and computer literacy.
- Product knowledge from chemicals/ Lubricants/Oil & Gas industries as well as product stewardship experience would be beneficial.
- Ready to relocate to Bangalore/ Bengaluru (Morning shift) – Office based.
- 5-10% travel (domestic and international).
Nice to Have
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications / Excel advanced skills/ SAP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into informed insights.
- Good cross functional communication skills.
- Ability to work with people having different cultural backgrounds.
