About this role
About the Role The Substance Use Counselor will assist patients through medically assisted treatments and provide strategies for managing opioid use. The counselor conducts individual and group sessions to support crisis management and coping, and collaborates with medical staff to improve patient outcomes. What You'll Do
- Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment
- Complete bio-psychosocial assessment and establish initial treatment plans; facilitate and review plans with each patient
- Develop aftercare and discharge plans
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor What We're Looking For
- Registered Counselor in the State of California
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
- Positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude towards patients
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check Nice to Have
- Experience with medically assisted treatments and collaboration with doctors, nurses and counselors
- Familiarity with addiction treatment protocols Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $26.20 - $29.20 per hour (hourly)
