Job title: Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT- PRN-As Needed
About the Role The Respiratory Therapist works under the general direction of the Director of Ancillary Services and Respiratory Care Supervisor. The role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the respiratory system by providing respiratory therapy to patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders and established standards, as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
What You'll Do
- Provide respiratory therapy per physician orders and established standards.
- Assess and monitor patients across age groups and adjust treatments as needed.
- Operate and maintain respiratory therapy/diagnostic equipment; stay current with developments in the field.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document care using computerized systems and maintain competency with state-of-the-art knowledge.
What We're Looking For
- Must have training/experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Must be a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with standards maintained, as recognized by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
- Familiar with multiple types/brands of respiratory therapy/diagnostic equipment with a strong desire to maintain competency and/or grow with state-of-the-art knowledge.
- Experience working with computers.
- Availability for the shift: 6:45a-3:15p.
