Job title: Registered Nurse - Skilled Nursing (Part-Time)
About the Role The RN in our Skilled Nursing department provides primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. This role supports Logan Health’s mission and values in a team-based, compassionate setting.
What You'll Do
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process for assigned areas.
- Maintains nursing standards, responds calmly to changing workloads and patient conditions, prioritizes and collaborates with the care team.
- Transcribes and implements provider orders (verbal and written) accurately and efficiently, and problem-solves issues affecting patient care.
- Practices infection control per policy and procedure.
- Documents all encounters according to organizational standards and the nursing process.
- Provides education to patients and families regarding health and medical needs.
- Assesses patient needs and coordinates interventions in line with policy, procedure and provider orders.
- Maintains regular attendance and supports a collaborative, confidential work environment.
- Shift: Variable - 12 Hours.
What We're Looking For
- Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with MT authorization required.
- BSN degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position within a medical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice.
- RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care.
- Understanding of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and privacy requirements.
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical office, basic laboratory methods, and universal precautions.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations; understanding restrictions imposed by managed care carriers; ability to adhere to established protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Additional area-specific requirements per department (OB, NICU, PEDS/PICU, ED, ICU, PCU, Endoscopy, PACU) including required certifications and timelines as outlined in the posting.
- Willingness to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
