About the Role The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care in the Telemetry unit at Maryview Medical Center by applying the nursing process, conducting data collection and assessment, prioritizing patient problems, and evaluating outcomes. The role coordinates care with the health care team, provides patient teaching, and supports care across hospital departments. It emphasizes patient safety, quality improvement, and the professional practice model in daily care. What You'll Do
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice laws and organizational policies.
- Serve as the point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments and advocate for patient safety and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and integrate the professional practice model into care delivery.
- Provide health teaching and support to patients and families; ensure effective use of office and clinical technologies. What We're Looking For
- Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Certification: BLS Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required; state-based or unit-specific requirements may apply.
- Experience: telemetry or progressive care strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and skills: nursing process application, patient advocacy, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice; ability to coordinate and lead patient care; strong communication and critical thinking. Nice to Have
- BSN degree preferred; telemetry or intermediate care unit experience; comfort with clinical technologies; commitment to continuing education. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $34.33 - $54.93 per hour.
