About the Role Provides direct patient care, collaborates with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to the specific patient population. Assesses patient's needs, plans care, implements and evaluates patient care in accordance with the patient’s needs based on the nurse’s knowledge of growth/development, the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth. What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in Perianesthesia - Main Surgery
- Collaborate with patients, families, peers, physicians and other health care team members
- Assess patient needs, plan, implement and evaluate care
- Demonstrate leadership and professional accountability What We're Looking For
- Education: BSN or MSN or enrollment in RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within 1 year of hire; completion within 5 years if hired after July 1, 2012
- Licensure/Certification: California RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Additional certifications required by assigned department (examples include ACLS upon hire for certain units; PALS for Perianesthesia and ED; NRP for neonatal-focused roles; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring for L&D when assigned)
- Strong knowledge of growth/development, hospital policies, and nursing standards Nice to Have
- STABLE course completion within 30 days
- Additional certifications such as AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring; NRP; Labor/Delivery-specific certifications when applicable
- Experience in Perianesthesia or Main Surgery environment Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $43.38 - $70.17 per hour; Sign On Bonus Eligible
- Shift: Nights; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week; Full-time
