About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team as a House Supervisor at Springhill Medical Center. - Provide supervision and guidance to all areas by visiting units/departments throughout the shift to ascertain status of areas, interpret policies and regulations to staff, patients and visitors, and coordinate placement/transfer.
- Screen incoming patients for appropriateness of admission/transfer and facility placement in proper level of care.
- Function at all times as the hospital administrative representative and act as hospital spokesperson.
- Investigate incidents and events and take appropriate action; interview to provide assistance in problem-solving; convey a positive image of the hospital; consult with administrator on-call as appropriate.
- Arrange/facilitate emergency operations as needed. Provide staffing for oncoming shift; assign staff utilizing appropriate mix to meet unit needs and patient acuity; adjust staffing sheets to reflect the latest plan.
- Monitor and utilize competency/orientation checklists for temporary reassignment and assignment of agency staff; work with other house supervisors and staffing personnel to effectively utilize all staff; develop and ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and established nursing standards; monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment; administer medications and treatments safely.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care; maintain accurate patient records; ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment; participate in quality improvement and professional development. What We're Looking For
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Proven clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or outpatient facility.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation standards.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
