About the Role The Forensic Registered Nurse (RN) will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in alignment with standards and policies. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and clear communication while helping create the safest patient environment and best patient experience. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting, and assess patient condition
- Provide episodic care for populations affected by trauma, including victims, suspects, the accused, and perpetrators
- Deliver education to patients, staff, communities, and populations on prevention, detection, and treatment of violence effects
- Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
- Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Certifications: Current state RN licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS); Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) - A and SANE - P preferred but not required
- Experience: Two years of professional RN experience (preferred but not required)
- Training: IAFN didactic training for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nursing program (preferred, not required) Nice to Have
- SANE certification preferences
- Prior experience in forensic/trauma settings Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $36.42–$58.28 per hour
