Job title: Registered Nurse (RN)
About the Role The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care for a defined patient population within Eisenhower Medical Center. Working in the Surgery Main department, you will collaborate with patients, families and a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver high-quality nursing care. You will assess needs, plan, implement and evaluate care in alignment with professional standards, hospital philosophy and policies, and you will demonstrate leadership and accountability.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care and ongoing monitoring, documenting assessments, plans, interventions and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families and a multidisciplinary care team to coordinate care across the continuum.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
- Demonstrate leadership, professional accountability and a commitment to growth in alignment with the hospital nursing philosophy and standards.
- Adhere to policies, procedures and safety requirements; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Education: BSN or MSN, or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one year of hire and completion within five years of hire if hired after July 1, 2012.
- Licensure/Certification: California RN licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required on hire; department-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN advanced fetal monitoring, STABLE where applicable).
- Certifications will vary by department (e.g., Emergency, ICU, Perianesthesia, Cardiology, Radiology, etc.) as indicated in the job posting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $43.38 - $70.17 per hour (USD).
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week; Day shift with 12-hour shifts.
- Sign-On Bonus Eligible.
