About the Role The Progressive Care (Step Down) Registered Nurse (RN) at Maryview Medical Center delivers high-quality nursing care in a step-down unit, bridging Med-Surg and ICU to monitor and treat patients with complex needs. This role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, collaboration, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments
- Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement within the department
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organizational policies
- Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required
- Current state RN licensure
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- RN experience: 1 year required; 6 months in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have

- ACLS certification preferred at hire; must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $34.33 – $54.93 per hour
