About the Role This RN position at Logan Health's Conrad Long Term Care collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. It also provides physical and psychological support to patients, families and friends, while overseeing assigned team members as applicable. What You'll Do

  • Cross-train in other nursing areas as needed (Acute Care, Emergency Department, Operating Room, Outpatient, etc.).
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the nursing process for RN’s and assigned area(s).
  • Competently provide direct patient care following established procedures, policies, and RN standards of care. Perform unit-specific competencies.
  • Maintain nursing standards of care and respond to changing workloads and patient conditions by remaining calm, prioritizing, and asking for assistance as appropriate.
  • Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to unit specifications and standards of practice.
  • Transcribe and implement provider verbal and written orders and treatments. Accurately and efficiently document chart reviews and observations. Timely documentation of all patient care in the electronic health record per unit and organizational requirements.
  • Comply with all infection control and safety policies and procedures and dispose of biohazardous materials per department protocol. Perform environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance per procedures.
  • Identify, verbally evaluate, and report identified reaction changes in patients' physical and mental conditions per department protocol.
  • Adhere to the code of professional nursing. Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and procedures. Participate in continuing education and relevant trainings (e.g., Chest tube competency, Monitor/Defibrillator, Hemodynamic Education, Central-Line Education, Wound-Vac Education).
  • Provide individual instruction and education to patients and families concerning health and medical needs per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Assess and anticipate patient needs, problem-solve issues, and coordinate necessary interventions per policy, procedure, and provider orders.
  • Precept and/or assist with the orientation of new personnel.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership. What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an RN program from an accredited school; Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana; required. BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position within a medical setting (acute care, clinic, or other hospital experience) preferred. Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
  • Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required as dictated by each service area.
  • Certifications as applicable to assignment: Status employees: NRP, PALS, ACLS within twelve (12) months of hire; TNCC or ENPC within eighteen (18) months of hire. PRN employees: BLS required, NRP, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC preferred.
  • Additional certifications may be required as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Understanding of confidentiality laws (HIPAA) and knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to handling poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics, and flammable items.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently; strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software and electronic health record systems.
