About the Role Registered Nurse – Orthopedic Unit (Days) at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role (36 hours/week) supports orthopedic patient care with a 7:00am–7:30pm shift and every-other-weekend requirements. The RN will assess patients, coordinate plans of care, and educate patients and families while maintaining current nursing practice standards. What You'll Do
- Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
- Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
