About the Role The Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical/Telemetry delivers high-quality patient care for individuals with medical and surgical conditions, including those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. You will perform assessments, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient responses while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective outcomes. Telemetry monitoring and timely recognition of cardiac events are essential components of this role, with opportunities for day and night shifts. What You'll Do

  • Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings to inform care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients continuously using telemetry equipment, promptly identifying and responding to cardiac events or changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and adjust patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote health and prevent complications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control and safety guidelines. What We're Looking For
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • One year experience as an RN in med-surg or telemetry unit.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); ACLS certification; prior telemetry or medical-surgical unit experience; familiarity with EHR systems; demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Nice to Have

  • Salary: $41-$60 per hour (USD).
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; Paid Time Off (18 days for full-time); Tuition Reimbursement; 401(k); Employer-paid Life Insurance; Additional voluntary benefits. Total Rewards include eligibility for full-time employees and may include differential pay between $1.00-$5.00 per hour depending on role or shift.
