Job title: Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Bay Area Hospital, you will provide patient care within the RN scope of practice, applying the nursing process, educating patients and families, and documenting in the medical record. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care for IMCU patients.
What You'll Do
- Apply the nursing process to IMCU patient care.
- Teach patients and significant others.
- Document patient care in the medical record/EMR.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, prioritize effectively, and respond to crises.
- Maintain regular attendance and adapt to shift needs.
What We're Looking For
- Oregon RN license in good standing.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- ACLS certification (or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 6-month grace period).
- Recent acute care hospital experience preferred; IMCU/intermediate care experience preferred.
- Strong reading/writing English and communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and EMR documentation.
- Flexible, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing patient/unit needs.
- Ability to teach patients and families effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Union affiliation: ONA (as applicable).
Nice to Have
- Acute care hospital experience within the past two years or IMCU/intermediate/progressive care experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $47.82 - $71.26 per hour (USD).
