Job title: Registered Nurse - ICU - FT | Days (Nurse Resident)
About the Role Join Bay Area Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the ICU. This full-time Day shift role is designed for a compassionate, skilled nurse resident to deliver high-quality patient care in a high-acuity environment. Within the RN scope of practice, you will apply the nursing process, teach patients and significant others, document care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall ICU care.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
- Document assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and significant others about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge plans.
- Respond effectively to crises and emergencies, prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and demonstrate professional behavior per hospital policies.
- Adhere to unit and hospital policies, including standard precautions and infection control.
What We're Looking For
- Current RN licensed to practice in Oregon.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- ICU/acute care hospital nursing experience; recent (within past 5 years) preferred.
- National certification in critical care nursing (CCRN or equivalent) preferred.
- Proficient computer skills and EMR documentation; strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, teaching skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Nice to Have
- CCRN or equivalent critical care certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $47.82 - $71.26 USD per hour.
