Job title: Registered Nurse Full Time Rotating - Telemetry Care Unit 4 East
About the Role The Registered Nurse (RN) 2 provides nursing care for a population-specific patient group on the Telemetry Care Unit 4 East, from assessment through evaluation, in a safe and therapeutic environment. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to specialty and organizational standards. This position reports to the Director and/or Nurse Manager and may supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel.
What You'll Do
- Base nursing actions by applying principles of purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgment/decisions.
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment and interpret data in order to plan and implement interventions to meet patient care needs.
- Develop, evaluate and revise patient's plan of care and nursing actions in response to patient's needs.
- Document care provided and patient's progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.
- Direct and supervise others in the performance of delegated nursing activities.
- Teach the patient and/or significant other(s) about the plan of care.
- Prepare patients to manage their care after discharge, transfer or preparation for procedure/test.
- Manage time and resources to deliver patient care.
- Administers medications to patients.
- Provides direct patient care.
- Leads the health care team.
- Serves as a Resource Person for assigned shift.
- Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
- Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
