About the Role The Registered Nurse (Night shift) provides professional ED nursing care at Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Main Hospital. This part-time role works 24 hours/week on nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays to support critical patient care in the ED. What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document observations.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other staff and function as a collaborative ED team member to meet unit goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the ED team to ensure safe, high-quality care during night shifts. What We're Looking For
- Education: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree, must obtain a BSN within five years of start date.
- Experience: 1+ year of Emergency Department experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current IL RN licensure; CPR certification (AHA or ARC); ACLS within three months; PALS within three months; NIHSS within three months.
- Critical thinking, strong assessment and communication skills, and ability to work as part of a fast-paced ED team. Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $36.00 – $55.80.
