About the Role The Registered Midwife coordinates and delivers high quality midwifery care to patients/clients at St George Hospital and Health Service, aligning with SESLHD and hospital policies, procedures and standards. The role contributes to SESLHD's vision of exceptional care and compassionate, patient-centred service. What You'll Do
- Provide midwifery care in line with SESLHD and St George Hospital policies, procedures and standards
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care and apply risk management, safety and quality principles
- Engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and support family-centred care
- Use health information systems and maintain accurate documentation

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns
- Ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to improve service delivery and guide others in service excellence
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
- Detailed knowledge of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Midwife in applying these principles
- Demonstrated recent post-registration midwifery experience Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $72,152.53 - $101,299.48 per year
