The Role
For a lot of families, food is where the hardest moments of the day happen. ADHD medications can blunt appetite, picky eating can turn dinner into a standoff, and weight conversations can leave kids feeling judged. As our Registered Dietitian, you'll help families turn those moments into progress, with care that is practical, evidence-based, and free of stigma.
You'll join a true multidisciplinary team. Our physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health clinicians treat together, so your nutrition plan isn't a referral that disappears into a chart. It's part of one coordinated plan for the whole child.
This is also a chance to build. You'll help design the evidence-based programming and protocols behind our nutrition care, from 1:1 visits to virtual group programs for kids and caregivers. If you've ever wanted to design the program instead of just running it, this is that role, on a part-time schedule you set.
What You'll Do
-
Care for kids and families (Practice Devotion to our Families)
-
Conduct 1:1 virtual nutrition visits for children and caregivers as part of our integrated care model.
-
Lead engaging virtual group sessions that give kids and caregivers practical tools they can use at the next meal.
-
Meet families where they are, with culturally responsive, non-stigmatizing language and plans that fit real budgets, schedules, and food traditions.
-
Deliver safe, high-quality care (Patient Safety Always Comes First)
-
Assess growth, intake, and medication effects such as appetite suppression, and flag concerns to the care team quickly.
-
Monitor progress, adjust recommendations, and document every interaction accurately and on time.
-
Work as one team (Earn Trust From Everyone)
-
Partner closely with our physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health clinicians on shared, whole-child care plans.
-
Be a trusted voice for families and colleagues: clear, warm, and consistent.
-
Build what's next (Observe, Improve and Innovate)
-
Help design evidence-based nutrition programming and group curricula, drawing on pediatric nutrition research, family-based behavioral treatment, and motivational interviewing.
-
Share what you learn from families so we can keep improving the model, and help us measure what's working.
-
Who You Are (Play to Win)
-
A credentialed RD. You hold an active RD or RDN credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
-
Experienced with kids and families. You have 3+ years of clinical or community nutrition experience, ideally in pediatric or family-focused settings.
-
Skilled in weight and metabolic health. You've supported patients with obesity, overweight, or metabolic conditions, and you know how to talk about weight in ways that build trust instead of shame.
-
A confident group facilitator. You can keep a virtual room of kids or caregivers engaged, and you enjoy it.
-
Comfortable with virtual care. You use EMRs and telehealth platforms with ease and document efficiently.
-
Culturally responsive. You've worked with families from diverse backgrounds and tailor your recommendations to their culture, resources, and goals.
-
A builder at heart. You're energized by a fast-growing startup and happy to iterate on new care models.
-
Ready to serve our Medicaid families. You're enrolled in California or Texas Medicaid, or willing to enroll.
-

-
State dietitian licensure, or openness to obtaining licenses with support from Clarity Pediatrics Medical Group.
-
Spanish fluency.
-

As a female-led company, we know firsthand that different perspectives lead to better decisions, better technology, and better care for kids.

We're building a workplace where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong, and where trust is earned and extended to all. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those whose experience doesn't match every line of this description. If this role excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
