Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team within our sales organization. This role is accountable for regional growth, strategic sales execution, customer relationships, and technical excellence through close collaboration with Sales Engineers, Technical Sales professionals, Field Operations, account teams, and other cross-functional partners.
The successful candidate will combine commercial leadership, technical solution-selling expertise, disciplined business management, and a strong commitment to developing people and building enduring customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Business Growth

Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, key sales objectives, profitable growth, and increased market share.

Build and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline, establish clear account priorities, and drive disciplined execution across complex sales cycles.

Monitor customer requirements, market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activity, then translate insights into actionable regional plans.

Maintain accurate and timely forecasts and provide clear business updates, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.

Customer and Market Leadership

Build trusted relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and sustained satisfaction.

Engage effectively at the C-suite and senior decision-maker level to understand business priorities, shape value propositions, and advance strategic opportunities.

Lead or support major commercial negotiations and serve as an escalation point for critical customer and business issues.

Bring the voice of the customer into regional and corporate planning, including pricing, positioning, product marketing, engineering roadmaps, and differentiation.

People Leadership and Capability Development

Lead and manage a team of Sales Engineers and Technical Sales professionals, providing clear direction, coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

Establish measurable goals and operating rhythms, including pipeline reviews, forecast reviews, account planning, and performance discussions.

Develop team capability in consultative selling, technical solution positioning, negotiation, customer engagement, and business acumen.

Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ethical decision-making.

Support talent development and succession planning to strengthen long-term organizational capability.

Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration

Collaborate closely with the Field Operations Manager to align regional execution, resources, and priorities with corporate objectives.

Work with other Regional Sales Managers, global account teams, Applications Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and service organizations to coordinate strategy and execution.

Drive technical enablement and solution positioning to support complex customer requirements and sales cycles.

Influence resource prioritization and investment decisions using customer impact, business value, risk, and strategic fit.

Business Management and Governance

Own regional business planning and sales operating discipline, including resource allocation, pipeline quality, opportunity conversion, and forecast accuracy.

Ensure effective use of CRM tools, standard sales processes, and customer account planning practices.

Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial controls, and applicable legal and ethical requirements.

Present concise business reviews and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications

Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
-
10+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience, including significant sales leadership responsibility.

At least 5 years of experience leading technical sales teams or equivalent people-management experience.

Proven record of achieving sales objectives and managing complex, enterprise-level customer engagements.

Strong understanding of technical solution selling, account strategy, forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial negotiation.

Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong English communication and presentation capability.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment.

Ability and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred
-
MBA or other advanced business degree.
-
Experience in semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor test, automated test equipment, or a related technical industry.

Experience working with multinational customers and global account teams.

Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
