About the Role
Senior Regional Production Specialist to manage all Healthcare underwriting within an assigned Lexington Branch Office and handle referral decisions for the most complex portfolios. This role drives the development, implementation and evaluation of underwriting strategies and guidelines within a Lexington zone, including pricing, marketing, staff, business development, renewals, budget/expenses, and new product development. It requires strong technical underwriting acumen combined with sales and marketing skills to achieve profitable growth, and includes coaching and developing junior staff when needed. What You'll Do

Produce, underwrite, manage and service a profitable book of business.

Utilize underwriter authority in accordance with published underwriting guidelines.

Manage a portfolio of renewal and new business including accounts with complex risks.

Seek out and secure new and profitable business.

Negotiate and secure policy terms aligning with company directives, including leveraging new products and services to create client value.

Develop and manage underwriting strategies for renewals and prospects within your portfolio, including knowledge of current penetration by product and plans to increase company share.

Position, market, and deliver innovative, market-leading products and services through a regional framework to a network of producers.

Develop framework for underwriting authority.

Understand regulatory and compliance processes; ensure stakeholders understand the Lexington Healthcare business model, underwriting methodology, and risks.

Support an effective reinsurance strategy aligned to our risk appetite.

Foster positive relationships with key customers.

Develop tools and strategies with HR to attract and retain top talent and build high-performing teams

Promote a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.

Coordinate strategy and collaborate with claims, actuarial, and consulting; work with Distribution Partners to maximize the network.

Provide direction and support to junior underwriters on new and renewal business. What We're Looking For

At least 8+ years of excess Healthcare insurance leadership experience.

Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.

Proven strategic leadership skills in developing vision and purpose, driving results and leading effective teams.

Established strong relationships with customers and intermediaries.

Skilled leader of change; versatile, client-focused, results oriented.

Demonstrated business savvy, analytical and quantitative skills.

Base salary range for Illinois: $125,000-$173,000; eligible for bonus per applicable incentive plan.
