About the Role Lexington Builders Risk is seeking a Regional Product Specialist to own and grow a portfolio of Master Builders Risk program renewals and new business. This role combines underwriting technical expertise with marketing, sales, and leadership to meet growth and profitability goals for the territory, and to coach and develop staff.
What You'll Do
- Oversee programs and processes within the Lexington Builders Risk portfolio, including renewals and new business for complex risks.
- Manage a book of business and execute profitability strategy for the territory.
- Demonstrate strong underwriting analytics, build broker relationships, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Lead, mentor, and train staff, support succession planning, and develop colleagues through training programs.
- Support new business development by attending broker events and building relationships across the market.
- Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to balance stakeholder needs and ensure sound decisions based on data and risk mindset.
What We're Looking For
- Proven underwriting experience in US Builders Risk, Inland Marine, Construction or Property with knowledge of product features, forms, regulatory environment and risks.
- Deep technical Builder's Risk expertise and knowledge of market, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Customer- and sales-oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, proactive, technically skilled, accountable.
- Ready to lead by example and coach others; experience in leadership or staff development preferred.
- Availability for roles based in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco; base salary range of $114,500 - $143,500; eligible for bonus under incentive plan.
