Regional Operational Risk and Control Manager

About the Role Regional Operational Risk and Control Manager plays a critical role in ensuring internal controls processes are consistent across Marex, with a primary focus on the EMEA region. The role ensures adherence to Group policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices across the region, and emphasizes risk assessment, governance, and continuous improvement of the control environment. The role works closely with Group Operational Risk to embed a strong risk culture. What You'll Do

• Regional risk oversight for all local operational risk matters in collaboration with Group Operational Risk.
• Ensure processes, controls and risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated; maintain up-to-date risk registers aligned with strategic objectives.
• Perform root cause analysis for operational risk events and track remediation.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and Group policies; support audit findings and corrective actions.
• Conduct and collaborate on the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and regulatory reporting; timely submissions.
• Provide guidance and training on internal control procedures and local regulation; develop regional RCSAs.
• Lead/Raise continuous improvement projects related to risk and control environments.
• Lead control testing activities under the Operational Risk Management Framework; document evidence and remediation.
• Communicate risks to regional and global management; prepare periodic reporting for committees and governance bodies.
• Manage change impact on controls due to organizational changes; update control framework as needed. What We're Looking For
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk, internal audit, compliance, assurance testing, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Interest in financial markets and operations; ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience with financial services regulation in EMEA preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative, curious, resilient, and influential. Nice to Have
• Experience with GRC tools and RCSA processes in a regulated environment (EMEA).
