About the Role Regional Lead Buyer for MRO, Facilities, Energy and CAPEX, responsible for managing purchasing processes across these categories. Plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence while supporting financial and strategic objectives. Hybrid schedule in Northlake, IL.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance of demands with internal customer requests.
- Constantly search for the best options of materials, services, and suppliers to secure optimal commercial and quality conditions for growth in North America.
- Carry out purchasing processes in accordance with company policies.
- Evaluate supplier performance with internal customers through the procurement tool and guidelines.
- Ensure suppliers meet Global Procurement Policy to qualify new suppliers and maintain current supplier documentation up to date.
- Improve P2P processes to maximize efficiency and productivity through GSP tools and SAP reports.
- Actively participate in annual supplier audits to ensure best production practices and quality standards.
- Be proactive and sustainable, minimize environmental impact, and comply with SIG environmental policy.
- Comply with best manufacturing practices to ensure safe packaging production and adherence to quality procedures under SIG Combibloc standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 3-5 years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience
- Experience supporting MRO, Facilities, Energy, and/or CAPEX purchasing activities
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and procurement compliance
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams (including operations in Mexico)
- Ability to travel internationally to Querétaro, Mexico as-needed
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with supplier audits, vendor performance management, and continuous improvement (preferred)
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and process improvement methodologies
- Manufacturing industry experience (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000-$100,000 USD per year
