About the Role DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Regional Human Resources Director for the West region, based in Los Angeles, to lead and tailor HR plans and policies aligned to business needs. You will provide day-to-day HR support to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain employees, and partner with managers to drive organizational capability and business results.
What You'll Do
- Provide input to and lead the implementation of HR plans and policies for the defined organization, translating business needs into effective HR actions.
- Build a culture of high performance and retention, and guide managers on HR matters with cross-functional support as needed.
- Support growth/change initiatives and deliver HR services through teams or centers of expertise.
- Ensure process improvements to HR processes to fit the needs of the defined organization.
- Develop and implement HR policies that comply with statutory regulations and align with best practices.
- Manage vendor/service relationships and SLAs for HR services (e.g., outsourced payroll).
- Monitor deployment of HR plans and sub-functional goals to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Anticipate, identify and resolve risks to successful deployment of HR plans.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of HR experience.
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior & executive management in complex environments.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in HR preferred.
- Experience leading a small to medium-sized HR team.
- Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
- Experience deploying complex organizational change projects.
- Experience managing union relationships; involvement in collective bargaining preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
- Experience in logistics/freight forwarding is a plus.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $141,831 - $189,108+ (Based on Experience).
- Benefits include: 401(k) match up to 4% plus quarterly and annual contributions, stock purchase plan, medical, vision, dental, PTO (holiday and leave), and paid time off.
