About the Role Regional Director, Access & Reimbursement (West) at Novartis leads payer strategy and market access initiatives across the Western United States to enable patient access to Novartis therapies. You will partner with cross-functional teams to develop regional plans, build payer relationships, and influence policy to support product launches and ongoing access. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute regional access and reimbursement strategies for the West region in alignment with national objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with payers, health plans, and HTAs to influence coverage and reimbursement decisions.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, and Policy teams to prepare value dossiers, economic models, and evidence generation plans.
- Monitor payer policy changes, pricing, contracting, and market dynamics; provide strategic guidance to field teams.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, budgets, and project timelines ensuring timely execution. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees (MBA/MPH) preferred.
- Extensive experience in health care access, reimbursement, payer relationships, or health economics, ideally in immunology or therapeutic areas relevant to Novartis.
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate clinical data into payer value propositions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel regionally and occasional national travel. Nice to Have
- Experience in US healthcare policy, CMS/Medicare/Medicaid knowledge.
- Previous field-based or regional market access leadership experience in pharma/biotech.
