Regional Category Buyer BUFM

About the Role Regional Category Buyer BUFM within Purchasing@ContiTech. This role drives BUFM procurement activities across the region with global scope, ensuring compliant, value-driven sourcing and close collaboration with FM, Engineering and business functions to build a strong supplier base.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end BUFM sourcing projects, from demand definition to supplier selection and contract award
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (FM, Engineering and business functions) to structure requirements and define sourcing strategies
• Prepare and manage RFPs/RFQs and support contract negotiations with suppliers
• Drive supplier selection based on commercial, technical, and strategic criteria
• Manage and further develop supplier relationships, including performance monitoring where required
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, standards, and guidelines
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
• Support the implementation of category strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor & contract management
• Proven experience in managing sourcing projects and negotiations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of topics
• Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
• Fluent in English and German; Hungarian is a plus

• Hungarian language skills are a plus
