Job Summary
The Refinery Lead will oversee refinery operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant processing of petroleum products. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to integrate refinery activities with the company’s broader services in waste management, pollution control, and petroleum product supply.
Key Responsibilities

Refinery Operations: Direct daily refinery processes including crude oil distillation, product blending, and quality assurance.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Nigerian regulatory standards, environmental laws, and international best practices.

Team Leadership: Supervise engineers, technicians, and operators; provide training and mentorship.

Environmental Management: Collaborate with the environmental consultancy unit to minimize emissions, manage waste, and implement pollution control measures.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work with the petroleum marketing and haulage divisions to guarantee timely product distribution.

Marine & Logistics Integration: Align refinery output with marine transport services for domestic and international supply.

Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and cost efficiency.

Innovation & Sustainability: Drive adoption of cleaner technologies and sustainable refinery practices.

Key Requirements

Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in refinery operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of Nigerian oil & gas regulations and international refinery standards.

Proven track record in environmental compliance and waste management integration.

Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,400,000 per month (However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience).
