About the Role Weir Marine Engineering (WME) seeks a Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes Specialist to design, develop, and test IT solutions in hybrid and private cloud infrastructures for existing and future Royal Canadian Navy ships. The candidate will design and implement high-availability OpenShift clusters in hybrid cloud environments, performing investigation, analysis and hands-on work to arrive at architecture and detailed design. This is a very technical role in a unique environment that may include validation and pilot deployments onboard ships while in home port. There is no on-call requirement or user support; this is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position based in LaSalle, QC or Halifax, NS with some on-site work and the option to work remotely or on-site as you choose.
