Job Description The Rector is the Chief Executive, Academic and Accounting Officer of the College, accountable to the Governing Council, responsible for providing strategic leadership and day-to-day administration and management of the institution. He chairs the Academic Board, ensures academic quality and NBTE accreditation, maintains discipline among staff and students, implements Council decisions, oversees the College's finances, budgets and financial management in accordance with extant laws, regulations and approved policies, serves as the Chief Spokesperson representing the College to Government, NBTE, TETFund, and industry partners, and drives the implementation of the Strategic and Master Plans for infrastructural, ICT and overall institutional development.

Academic Qualifications & Experience Candidates applying for this post must possess: Academic Qualification: A Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in one of the disciplines offered in the College from a recognized institution. Rank: Must be at least a Chief Lecturer or its equivalent with at least 5 years of experience at the rank. Cognate experience: Must have at least 15 years of post-qualification cognate experience in teaching, research, community service, and administration. Industrial Experience Relevant industry or professional experience in the candidate's field of specialization. Scholarly Publications: Evidence of substantial scholarly publications in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals. Professional Registration: Membership of relevant professional bodies and, where applicable, appropriate professional registration or certification. Age Limit: Shall not be a person above 60 years of age at the point of assumption of Office as the Rector of the College. Candidate should possess basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills. Health: Must be in good physical and mental health.

Vision Statement: Candidates for the position of Rector must attach a typewritten Vision Statement (not exceeding 500 words) outlining their strategic vision for the College over the 4-year tenure.

Qualities: All Candidates must be morally sound, of impeccable character, and not be likely to pursue racial, gender, political, religious, or other sectional interests.

Terms of Appointment, Conditions of Service & Remuneration Tenure: The appointment is for a period of four (4) years from the date of appointment and shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term of four (4) years and no more.

Remuneration

The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy allowances as may be approved by the governing Council of the College from time to time.
