Recruiting Associate

A Recruiting Associate role based in New York City with Wellfound, focusing on building and executing sourcing strategies for-engineering, product, and design roles within Genius AI. This in-person position requires commuting to the NYC headquarters with an in-office cadence of 3–4 days per week, including mandatory attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The role centers on proactive talent sourcing, relationship building, and partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to maintain momentum in interview loops.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the sourcing strategy for Engineering, Product, and Design roles, identifying where top talent is and how to reach them before they are actively looking

• Source both active and passive candidates, prioritizing potential high-impact hires as the next force multipliers for the team

• Leverage alumni networks, referrals, campus programs, and industry events to create robust pipelines

• Organize events, dinners, and other opportunities for genuine relationship-building that complements AI-driven sourcing

• Develop AI-powered workflows for repeatable parts of sourcing, screening, and pipeline tracking to keep focus on high-potential candidates

• Screen and manage technical candidates through early-stage interviews, from resume review to handoff to the hiring team

• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to keep interview loops moving without losing attention to important details

• What we’re looking for

• 1+ year of experience in a recruiting agency, tech startup, hedge fund, or investment bank with exposure to high-volume, fast-moving processes

• Experience rebuilding how you operate using AI, whether by automating tasks, building personal workflows, or leveraging AI to move faster

• Genuine energy for people and AI, and curiosity about how the two intersect in hiring

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage a high volume of requisitions without letting candidates or hiring managers fall through

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor tone for candidates, hiring managers, or executives

• Insatiable curiosity, always seeking to understand the why behind a role or process

Compensation

• The base salary range for this role is $80,000–$110,000 plus equity and benefits. The overall compensation package will reflect factors such as skills, experience, location, and education, and may change over time. The role is eligible to participate in Genius AI’s equity plan and a range of health, retirement, and other benefits as part of the total rewards offering.
