Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the smooth day-to-day operation of the Recreation department to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

• Plan, organize, and supervise fun, creative, and engaging recreational activities for hotel guests.

• Develop new recreation activities suitable for different guest groups, including adults, families, and children.

• Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, activities, products, and services.

• Ensure all recreation activities are conducted safely and in accordance with hotel health and safety standards.

• Supervise children’s activities and ensure the safety and well-being of children participating in recreation programs.

• Ensure all recreation equipment and activity areas are clean, safe, well maintained, and ready for guest use.

• Supervise Recreation Attendants and other team members involved in recreation activities.

• Provide training, coaching, and guidance to Recreation team members to ensure consistent service standards.

• Ensure appropriately trained and qualified team members are assigned to activities requiring specific skills or certifications, such as lifeguarding or fitness activities.

• Monitor guest participation and collect guest feedback to evaluate the success of recreation programs.

• Adjust and improve activities based on guest feedback, participation levels, and operational needs.

• Provide clear and accurate information to guests regarding daily recreation activities, schedules, and available facilities.

• Encourage guest participation in hotel recreation activities and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

• Assist guests with fitness and recreational facilities and provide appropriate guidance where required.

• Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to support recreation activities and special events.

• Ensure proper procedures are followed when collecting or charging fees for recreation activities.

• Support revenue-generating recreation activities and identify opportunities to increase departmental revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction.

• Maintain accurate records of recreation activities, guest participation, equipment, and other required information.

• Handle guest requests, comments, and concerns related to recreation activities in a professional manner.

• Perform other Recreation-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
