Role Description

The Recovery Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos State, Nigeria.

The role is responsible for overseeing loan recovery activities, including tracking overdue accounts, contacting clients, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

The Recovery Manager will analyze portfolio performance, identify high-risk accounts, and implement recovery strategies that align with regulatory and internal policies.

This role also involves preparing recovery reports, collaborating with credit and operations teams, and recommending process improvements to reduce loan defaults.

The Recovery Manager will ensure all recovery actions are documented accurately and conducted in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of loan recovery processes, credit risk management, and microfinance operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and use of banking or loan management software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant banking regulations, including CBN and microfinance guidelines.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in loan recovery, collections, or credit control within a financial institution is highly beneficial.
- Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment in Lagos State, Nigeria.
