About the Role Oerlikon is seeking a Reconditioning Cutting Tools Technician to work onsite at customer locations in the USA and Canada. The role focuses on collecting on-site test data and delivering value-based solutions to exceed GSR targets and drive profitability. What You'll Do
- Exceed budget in identified accounts through collaboration with internal and external interfaces
- Perform on-site activities at end-user accounts, collecting data on cutting speeds, feeds, chip load, chip thickness, and coating characteristics
- Identify opportunities to gain efficiency and promote value-based selling
- Interact with product management regularly
- Collaborate with CSC, Operations and Sales to promote a value-based selling approach
- Build assigned accounts' GSR by working with sales in the USA and Canada What We're Looking For
- Machinist trades certificate from an accredited Vocational Technical school
- Three years manual or CNC machining experience
- Knowledge of cutting tool types, chip thickness, speeds and feeds, wear characteristics, and wear causes
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes (metal cutting, composites cutting, drilling, reaming, tapping, etc.) Compensation & Benefits
