About this role
About the Role The Receptionist will work out of an assigned resource center and be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. They will explain agency programs and intake procedures, schedule appointments, greet clients, and assist with basic forms and intake processes. This role may involve outreach and assisting with applications as needed. What You'll Do
- Meet and greet members of the general public, provide information about programs, and direct visitors to the appropriate office.
- Efficiently handle a high volume of incoming calls, route to the correct person, and take messages as directed.
- Greet clients for interviews, confirm appointments, and provide relevant handouts while they wait.
- Prepare applicants, discuss household income and eligibility information at the time of appointment.
- Schedule and confirm appointments; reschedule no-shows as needed.
- Assist clients with mail-in application forms.
- Learn to use the FAP/EAP software proficiently; mail any necessary forms and appointment letters.
- Maintain accurate information and complete forms as required. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED and 6 months of experience in social/community services or customer service.
- Strong customer service, communication, data entry, and computer skills.
- Valid driver's license; ability to lift/move items as needed. Nice to Have
- Experience with FAP/EAP software. Compensation & Benefits
- $19 per hour; onsite; full-time position.
