Job title: Receivables Coordinator
About the Role This is an excellent role for a candidate with strong communication skills and attention to detail who wants to progress in a global market leader. As a Receivables Coordinator in the UK Collection Team, you will act as a key interface between Broker partners, onsite Product Towers, Broker and offshore back-office operations, supporting timely collection of premiums and collaboration across teams to meet financial targets. The role focuses on established processes, strong relationships, and continuous improvement across teams.
What You'll Do
- Manage broker accounts to optimise collections performance through regular engagement, query resolution, and ledger oversight
- Maintain accurate ledger positions and ensure effective control of accounts receivable transactions
- Meet monthly and quarterly targets in line with business goals and objectives
- Take full ownership of allocated accounts, ensuring coding, commentary, and next actions are consistently updated
- Resolve account issues proactively to prevent overdue items
- Support and validate Bad Debt items, contributing to reduction and improved ledger accuracy
- Manage discrepancies (premium, commission, tax, gross differences) through agreed internal processes
- Monitor and action account entries daily, escalating issues to relevant teams where required
- Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure effective cash handling and query management
- Ensure timely resolution and escalation of queries, maintaining accountability through to completion
- Apply strong controls across cash processing, including validation and rejection of incorrect items
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in escalation forums (e.g. war rooms, project teams)
What We're Looking For
- Credit Control experience
- Insurance experience advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels
- Proven capability in managing reconciliations involving large detailed data sets
- Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail and quality assurance
