About the Role Join MetLife Investment Management's Global Real Estate and Agricultural Investments team in Los Angeles as part of the Acquisitions and Joint Ventures group. You will support underwriting, due diligence, and closing of equity investments for MetLife's general account and third-party investors across a diversified real estate portfolio, including office, retail, industrial, multi-family, hotels and alternative assets. This role focuses on sourcing and managing equity opportunities and maintaining relationships with key industry contacts. What You'll Do
- Support the Acquisitions and Joint Ventures team in the Los Angeles Region in underwriting, due diligence, acquiring and closing equity investments for MetLife general account and MIM Real Estate’s third-party accounts.
- Assist in underwriting, valuation and financial analysis of potential transactions using Excel and Argus; interpret rent rolls, income statements, offering memorandums, development models, and other property-level reports.
- Conduct in-depth analytical analyses involving advanced Excel modeling.
- Collaborate with portfolio strategy, pricing, and transaction approvals on new equity investments.
- Build financial models, develop investment theses, and prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders. What We're Looking For
- Experience in underwriting, valuation and financial analysis of commercial real estate equity investments.
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with Argus.
- Ability to interpret rent rolls, income statements, development models, offering memorandums, and other property-level reports.
- Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have
- Experience with equity acquisitions for institutional investors (general account and third-party).
- Knowledge across asset classes including office, retail, industrial, multi-family, hotels, data centers, senior housing, manufactured housing, single-family communities and self-storage.
- Familiarity with the Los Angeles market is a plus.
