Job title: RD&A Senior Technologist
About the Role As an RD&A Senior Technologist, you will directly impact the safety, shelf-life and quality of foods worldwide. You will operate in an international, dynamic environment where innovation, collaboration and scientific excellence are central. You will have room to experiment, learn and grow while collaborating with microbiology, food science, R&D and commercial teams.
What You'll Do
- Set up, execute and manage microbiological studies in broth and application, including challenge tests, shelf-life studies and inactivation research.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data and translate results into clear conclusions and value propositions for R&D, BD, PM, Sales and customers.
- Validate performance of Kerry’s clean-label and conventional antimicrobial products in existing and new applications.
- Benchmark Kerry solutions against competitive technologies.
- Coordinate external challenge studies, including material management, data processing and reporting.
- Advise on study design, execution and data analysis for internal and external projects.
- Build strong relationships with RD&A colleagues in Europe and APMEA.
What We're Looking For
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Food Safety, Food Microbiology or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in food preservation or shelf-life and antimicrobial technologies.
- Experience with bakery, pet food, meat or savory applications is a plus.
- Experience with microbiological modeling is a plus.
- Strong communication skills; ability to report and present clearly to diverse audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of food microbiology, spoilage organisms, pathogens and factors that influence microbial growth.
- Knowledge of statistical experimental designs.
- Ability to develop and deliver relevant, concise technical presentations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with bakery, pet food, meat or savory applications.
- Experience with microbiological modeling.
- Proficiency in data visualization or stakeholder presentations.
