About the Role
Intern – Wireless Systems Engineer on the R&D team within Silvus Technologies, now part of Motorola Solutions. The intern will learn from experts in wireless communications, DSP, and networking, helping to design, simulate, analyze, and implement solutions that address real-world challenges in dynamic RF environments. This full-time on-site internship is based at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in West Los Angeles. What You'll Do

Algorithm and protocol design and parameterization for wireless systems projects.

Simulate and evaluate communication systems and signal-processing algorithms.

Hands-on work with Silvus radio products and R&D prototypes.

System testing and characterization, including lab equipment for signal generation, channel emulation, spectrum analysis, etc.

Custom test utilities and data capture/analysis scripts.

Field test planning and execution.

Participate in the generation of technical documentation and presentations.

Opportunities to further engage, learn, and develop skills as projects progress. What We're Looking For
-
In-progress Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.

Basic understanding of communication transmission methods.

Basic understanding of digital signal processing.

Exposure to Linear Algebra (Eigenvectors).

U.S. Citizenship due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Background check and drug testing clearance. Nice to Have

MATLAB coding experience.

Understanding of Statistics and Probability applied to communication signal processing.

Understanding of Physical Layer Signal Processing including optimal detection.

Familiarity with OFDM and MIMO systems. Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay range: $28.60 - $42.00 USD per hour, depending on degree progress (Bachelor's to Master's).
