R&D DSIS Application Engineer - Testing, GIS

Mission

We are seeking talented and successful Software Testing Engineers, who are passionate about testing techniques, know how to deliver high quality products to market in an efficient way, utilizing all the tools at their disposal.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements
Prepare test plan document
Design, Implement & execute Manual test scenarios for functional business requirements & use cases
Design, Implement & execute Automation test scenarios for functional business requirements & use cases
Design, Implement & execute test scripts for non-functional business requirements & use cases
Design scalable and reliable testing frameworks
Own & follow up on different testing activities
Report defects & handles defect management
Report risks & status to higher management
Prepare different types of test reports
Debugging, troubleshooting & conducting impact analysis for defects
Communicating findings and feedback
Follow standard team processes and guidelines and participate in process enhancement
Participate in meetings & report work progress with internal and external stakeholders
Mentor & support other team members in different testing activities
Conduct regular reviews on different testing activities
Contribute effectively in the continuous improvement of his/her project, team, and work environment by submitting improvement proposals whenever possible

Qualifications

Education

B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Communications, or Electronics.
B.Sc. in Computer Science
Professional Experience
From 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
Technical Requirements
Hands-on experience in different types of testing such as System Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression, etc.
Hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver & REST Assured
Hands-on experience in APIs testing
Good knowledge in performance testing using Jmeter
Good knowledge in Agile Scrum
Ability to achieve excellent results with minimal supervision
Ability to identify and explore new testing frameworks
Ability to excel in a cross functional team environment
Able to analyze and debug complex critical issues
Strong analytical, critical thinking, root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Team player, proactive and self reliant
Good attention to details
Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients for project related discussions and for support if required
Able to think outside the box and come up with alternative ideas/implementation to handle critical situation/issues
High sense of ownership and responsibility
Good knowledge of ISTQB Foundation Level
Languages
English is a must. German or French is a plus.
Other Specifications
Working Knowledge of Test management tools (like ALM, JIRA,…etc.)
ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus
Experience with security testing is a plus
Continuous Integration knowledge is a plus (like Jenkins,...etc.)
