Job title: Raw Materials / Steel Buyer
About the Role The Narmco Group is a leader in automotive metal stamping and assembly. We are recruiting a Raw Materials / Steel Buyer to procure all raw materials and steel for production in our fast-paced manufacturing facilities within the Corporate Purchasing Department.
What You'll Do
- Competitively quote in a timely fashion for all steel and aluminum material, considering price, quality and delivery.
- Ensure appropriate supply base is used for quoting and awarding the product; identify if a customer dictated source is required prior to tendering quote.
- Follow-up of all steel claims for manufacturing costs encountered at the facilities.
- Resolve accounting inconsistencies in invoicing to Contract Agreements.
- Have a strong understanding of manufacturing MRP and supplier releasing.
What We're Looking For
- College diploma or University degree in Business Administration with a focus on supply chain or purchasing.
- 1-3 years administrative experience in a purchasing role with exposure to raw materials / steel buying.
- Must be bondable.
- Travel is required.
- Valid drivers license for Windsor and Ontario, with occasional plant and vendor visits to US and Mexico.
- Demonstrate ability to work with large volumes of data and analyzing information.
- Very detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $31 - $41 per hour.
- Travel: Windsor and Ontario with occasional travel to the US and Mexico.
