About this role

About the Role We are seeking a RAMS Specialist to join our Systems Assurance Team with expertise in RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety). The candidate will work closely with the Systems Assurance Director and Systems Integration Leads on the delivery of an expanding portfolio of complex infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work with engineering, safety, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure system performance, risk, and lifecycle objectives are clearly defined, assessed, and achieved throughout the project lifecycle. What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain RAMS plans, strategies, and lifecycle deliverables in alignment with project, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform RAM analyses, including FMECA/FMEA, Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs), availability and maintainability assessments, failure-rate analysis, and MTTR evaluations.
  • Review and assess system and subsystem designs for RAMS implications, compliance, and alignment with performance requirements.
  • Support RAMS requirements allocation, interface management, and verification across system architectures and supplier boundaries.
  • Support the development and apportionment of project-level RAMS targets to system, subsystem, and component levels using structured methods such as RBDs, FMECA, and analytical modelling, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and design intent.
  • Contribute RAM-related inputs to Engineering Safety Cases, assurance reports, and lifecycle documentation, ensuring consistency with overall project assurance objectives.
  • Review contractual RAMS, performance, and security requirements, supporting compliance and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform reliability prediction modelling for infrastructure and interfacing systems, including the apportionment of RAMS requirements to lower-level subsystems using recognized techniques such as RBDs and FMECA.
  • Conduct independent peer reviews of reliability and maintainability analyses and calculations to verify design assumptions and results.
  • Support the definition of maintenance and Line-Replaceable Unit (LRU) strategies to achieve reliability objectives while optimizing maintenance effort and lifecycle cost.
  • Review supplier RAMS documentation, identify non-compliances, and support resolution activities in coordination with the project team.
  • Develop and support RAMS demonstration plans, including FRACAS plans and procedures, in collaboration with Project Management and field teams.
  • Ensure Systems Assurance and RAMS processes are properly applied and followed by all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform RAMS and risk analyses aligned with recognized standards such as EN 50126 lifecycle (V-model), Canadian Method of Risk Evaluation and Assessment, and MIL-STD-882.
  • Support Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, including the derivation of project security requirements, integration into design development, and contribution to security-related risk assessments. What We're Looking For
  • RAMS expertise with experience applying RAMS across complex infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of FMECA/FMEA, Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs), MTTR, availability and maintainability analysis, FRACAS, and LRU strategies.
  • Ability to interpret contractual RAMS and security requirements; experience with interface management and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills; ability to perform reliability predictions and RAMS allocation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to interface with engineering, safety, operations, and maintenance teams; contribute to Safety Cases and assurance reports.
  • Familiarity with EN 50126, MIL-STD-882, and other relevant standards; understanding of security integration into design.
  • Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary, mentorship-based environment. Nice to Have
  • Experience with Threat and Vulnerability Assessments and security requirement integration into design.
  • Experience across O&M, Power Systems, Highway and Traffic Controls Systems, Transportation Technologies, and Civil Infrastructure/Building Systems.
  • Prior exposure to presenting to industry professionals and stakeholders. Compensation & Benefits
  • Top-notch health benefits, a wealth-building 401k plan (RRSP), and unbeatable growth opportunities.
