About the Role The Lawson Group seeks a Radon Testing Consultant to help businesses, schools, and organizations understand radon risks and next steps. You will perform professional radon testing and provide clear results and practical guidance as a trusted advisor—without installing mitigation systems.
What You'll Do
- Conduct professional radon testing in buildings using monitoring equipment
- Interpret testing results and explain findings in plain English
- Compare results to EPA guidelines and help clients weigh mitigation options
- Advise on next steps and connect clients with qualified mitigation contractors when needed
- Perform post-mitigation or follow-up testing to verify system effectiveness
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the process
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of radon testing methods (short-term and long-term) and EPA guidelines
- Ability to interpret results and communicate clearly and effectively
- Experience with or understanding of coordinating with mitigation contractors
- Strong consultation and client-facing communication skills
- Interest in helping workplaces in New England (buildings such as basements, schools, offices) understand radon risk
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with building science concepts and HVAC systems
- Experience with professional radon monitoring equipment
- Prior consulting experience (without installation) is a plus
